The surface is quite smooth and suitable for painting or varnishing or whatever you want to do. They are not padded underneath, and will need something there, but I do smooth and deburr the outer edges of the base.

While these can be printed with a hole for a string they are designed to be attached to a larger costume, fursuit or wig, as they sit pretty far back on the head.

They have a curved base to accommodate the shape of your head. As with most printed props, do not leave these in a very hot vehicle. A strong, clean, and very light weight horn that can be glued or attached to your costume, or strung on elastic and worn as part of a headpiece. The faint seam is at the back of the horn as it points out away from you.
